Lakefront Counseling does not bill insurance companies for payment for counseling services. There are numerous reasons for this:
- Providing the necessary diagnostic code may have negative repercussions for you in the future
- The insurance company would assume control of the counseling process and this presents an ethical concern
- The insurance company does not guarantee confidentialiy
- I am attempting to keep costs, and therefore counseling rates, at an affordable minimum
- Insurance companies may not support online counseling services
If you desire to file for reimbursement of payments through your insurance company, proof of receipt of services will be provided to you.
